Dear Rick, Mike and family, I am sorry for your loss. I remember Denise as a cute little blond girl when we were all in school together. Then, she taught both my children at Berryton. She was a great teacher and a wonderful person, I know she'll be greatly missed. My prayers are with you..Jane (Barnhart) Holden.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. Denise was such a beautiful person inside and out. I enjoyed working with her and my youngest son enjoyed being in her 3rd grade class. I loved her cheerfulness and smile. She will be truly missed.

My thoughts and prayers are with David and his family, Daniel and the rest of Denise's family. I have many wonderful memories of fun times with Denise planning activites for our sons.
She was a great friend, wonderful teacher and loving mother. Your family will continue to be in my prayers in the days and months to come.

Denise was a dear friend of my mother. I did not have her as a teacher, but remember her smile and spirit in the hallways of my elementary school. When we moved away from the area, she remained a close and caring friend to my mom. She will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers to everyone Denise touched.

Always a smile on her face, I visited with her just two weeks ago when she walked by our house. I mentioned during our conversation that she seemed so happy now and I was so glad for her and the last thing she said to me before she walked on was "Yes, I'm very happy." Such a good memory of her. Very very sorry for your loss.

Denise was a coworker and friend for decades with my mother and our family. I was lucky enough to have Denise as my third grade teacher back in 1989 - I remember her smile and a fantastic year at school.

The Alpha Sigma Alpha alum group (Emporia State) that Denise was a part of is deeply saddened by the loss of our friend and sister. Our gatherings won't be the same without her. Thoughts and prayers for your family and Denise's many friends.
