Devin McDowell Obituary

CARBONDALE -Devin James McDowell, 1 year-old son of Heather L. Forshee and Kevin J. McDowell, Carbondale, died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004, at a Kansas City, Kan., hospital. He was born April 9, 2003, in Topeka. He loved baseball and Reese's Pieces. In addition to his parents, other survivors include grandparents, Albert and Joanna Sherwood, and Steven and Kelly David, all of Carbondale, and Brian and Jodi Forshee, Meriden; and great-grandparents, Donna Shoemate, Scranton, Gladys Weizork, Topeka, and Larry Forshee, Topeka. Devin was preceded in death by two great-grandfathers, Larry Shoemate and Barney Weizork. The child was cremated. Family and friends will meet at 2:30 p.m. today in Carbondale City Hall. Memorial contributions may be made to the Devin J. McDowell Memorial fund to be designated later and sent in care of Carey Funeral Home, P.O. Box 196, Burlingame, Kan. 66413.

Devin here...I am so sorry. You did the best you could for Devin..you were a great dad, and he loved you so much...I only met him once..but his smile brightened up my day..he was so cute..and I will always have him and you in my prayers..if you need anything Nicole and I are here for you. Devin is badley missed..but he is in a better place..and out of the paine. He will always love you..and be in all of our hearts.
