Donald Hoshor Obituary
Surviving are his two daughters: Susan (Mike) Hodges of Glasford and Julie Lagacy of Morton, four grandchildren: Tyler and Abby Hodges of Glasford, Ryan and Sara Lagacy of Morton, two sisters: Shirley Munz of Largo, FL and Dorothy McMurtry of Hanna City, IL, and close friends: Lori (Jeff) Lynn of Pekin and Scott (Pam) Beccue of Tremont. Don was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Diane, two brothers and one sister.
Don was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired from Caterpillar as a manufacturing manager after 40 years of service and 18 post retirement years of service. A member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin, Don also belonged to the American Legion Post 35 in Glasford and the Pekin Moose #916. Don loved his family and was very proud of his grandchildren; and when he was not spending time with all of them, he enjoyed golfing, fishing, and bowling.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, December 5, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin. Burial will be in Maple Ridge Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Illinois CancerCare in Peoria or Don Bohlander Parkinson's FundRACERS, 2213 September Lane, Pekin, IL 61554. Susan and Julie, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember your dad from Caterpillar. He was one of the Manufacturing manager I worked under when I was first starting out. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your families.
