Labrador Families;
I want to share some words of encouragement and faith with each of you. When my daughter Sarah was five, we had a horrible time with grand mal idiopathic seizers. We were young parents and were scared beyond words. Steve frantically drove Sarah and I to the emergency room, Sarah wrapped in a towel and in the fetal position on my lap. She was as limp as the towel she was wrapped in and we were getting no responses from her. My parents were out of town, and once they were made aware of the situation, headed back to Topeka. Praise God, they brought my beloved Grandmother with them.
The instant that my Grandmother came into the hospital room, we each laid hands on Sarah and prayed. My Grandmother told me to have faith in God, that at that moment; He/God was in charge. Grandma shared that our loved ones are on loan from God, much like a library book we have checked out at the library. God gives His/Our loved one, to the best possible family to care for, nurture and to teach them the ways of Our Heavenly Father.
Not every book returned is in perfect shape. Some pages are torn and tattered, some with stains from being treated badly or abused. But God loves each one of them the same, He wipes the book clean and repairs the tears so it is brought back to its perfect self. When our life/book is due to be returned, God gently places it/our loved one on the top shelf for everyone to admire and adore.
God knew that your Father would be taught the ways of Our Lord, to be respectful of others, to know the value of life, family and friends. From reading all of the wonderful memories and statements made on his behalf, you must be crying tears of pride. What a wonderful man who raised each of you. I can assure you Sweet Children, you where chosen by God to be raised by this special man, who too quickly became an Angel. May God and His Angels be bountiful amongst each of you.
Love,
Pam

To My Cousin Susan & Family:
We send our very sincerest condolences over the loss of Popeye. I remember seeing him at Yvonne's for the Easter celebration and he and Bolie would go back and forth from English to Spanish and the conversation would go on and on.
Felix was a good man and one thing for sure he had a smile that could light up a room,he will be missed. May God comfort you and your family and may God welcome Popeye home. I can see him looking down at us smiling and saying everything is alright, I am home now. God bless you all.

Popeye always made me smile. I loved it when he would start telling me a story and forget that I didn't speak spanish and I would miss about half of the story. The great part of the story was seeing how animated he got when he was trying to make a point. He was a good guy and I know he will be missed.
January, please know that I love you and if you need anything I am just a phone call away.
