John Schrempp Obituary

John L. Schrempp, 56, of Topeka, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at his home. John was an excellent trim and finish carpenter for various construction companies in the Topeka area. He was born August 24, 1952 in Topeka the son of Donald and Clara (Ellis) Schrempp. John enjoyed drawing, sculpting, fishing and spending time with his family. John was a member of Mater Dei Parishs Assumption Church. He was married to Christine M. Tasset on December 2, 1978 at Assumption Church. She survives. John was preceded in death by his father Donald Schrempp and step father Harry Reece. Survivors beside his wife include; mother, Clara Reece of St. Marys, two sons, Joseph M. Schrempp and his wife Trevi of Topeka and Dominic C. Schrempp of the home, two daughters, Jennifer M. Schrempp and her fianc Fred Davis of Columbia, MO and Anna M. Schrempp and her companion Jordan Perkins of Topeka, two brothers, Gerald Schrempp of Topeka and Wally Schrempp of Maple Hill and a sister Mindee Reece of Topeka. Eight grandchildren, Parker, Joey Jr., Kailee, Xavier, Dakota, Maxwell, Gage and Miriam also survive. John was cremated. The family will receive friends on Friday at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. with a parish rosary being prayed at 6:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday at the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow in Lynn Creek Cemetery at Berryton. Memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice Care and sent in care of the Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Ave., Topeka, KS 66603. Online condolences to www.brennanmathenafh.com.
