Keith Lewis Obituary

Keith R. Lewis Keith R. Lewis, 72 of rural Osage City, passed away, Sunday, June 16, 2013 at the University of Kansas Medical Center. Keith was born May 10, 1941 in Emporia, Kansas the son of Rees L. and Elva Grace Small. He was joined in marriage to Jane A. Sullivan on June 11, 1965 in Velma, Oklahoma. They lived in Emporia and Hartford the first two years of their marriage before moving to a farm north of Lebo. They left the farm due to the construction of Melvern Lake Dam in June 1970. Keith and Jane have lived the last forty-three years at their current farm east of Osage City. Keith and Jane have been members of the Lyndon Congregation of Jehovah s Witnesses for 40 years. He will be especially missed by his wife Jane of the home; four sons, Todd (Linda) Lewis of Brooklyn, New York, Michael ( Shelly) Lewis of Topeka, Timothy R. Lewis of Independence, Kansas and Matt Lewis of Osage City; a granddaughter, Ashley Lewis of Chicago, Ill.; his twin sister, Kay Ayers of Halstead; a brother, Carl (Winnie) Lambeth of Osage City; other family and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by a son Mark A. Lewis on August 26, 2000. Memorial services will be held at 1:30 pm., Saturday, June 22, 2013 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah s Witnesses north of Lyndon. Memorial contributions to a fund to be designated later may be sent in care of the VanArsdale Funeral Chapel at 107 N. 6th Street, Osage City, Kansas 66523.

Keith was a wonderful brother and servant of Jehovah. I will miss him singing the Kingdom Melodies at our meetings. His voice was so beautiful. My heart goes out to Jane and all the his family and many friends.

Sorry for your loss. I went to school with Keith when we went to country school. He was a grade ahead of me, but all grades were in the same room. Lots of fond memories back in those days.
