Michael Long Obituary

SALINA- Michael C. (Miguel) Long, 40, of Salina, died May 4, 2010. He was born July 11, 1969, in Salina, the son of Melvin and MaryAnn (Depew) Long. Miguel was a food and beverage waiter in several Salina taverns. He was a 1987 graduate of Sacred Heart High. Mike was an avid sports fan and a K.U. fanatic. He was devoted to his family, and enjoyed making others laugh. Survivors include, his parents, Melvin & MaryAnn of Salina; five brothers, Dave (Sharon) of Topeka, Jim (Karla), John (Connie), Paul, and Rob (Krista), all of Salina; five sisters, Sue Long, Sandy Vinson, Sharon Long, Maureen (Ron) Olson, all of Salina, and Cindy (Doug) Crandall of Deerfield, KS; Seventeen nieces and nephews and Eight great nieces and nephews. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Saturday at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, with burial in the All Saints Catholic Cemetery. A Vigil Service will be 6:00 PM Thursday at the Ryan Mortuary with visitation Friday evening from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Ryans. Memorials are to The Jimmy V. Foundation, The Tammy Walker Cancer Center, or Hospice of Salina. Michael C. Long

Mikey used to pop in and say Hi when I was in college because he knew I hated being there alone..He was always such a nice guy. So sorry for your loss.
