Pauline Lundgren Obituary

OSAGE CITY --Pauline Mary Lundgren, 85, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2006, at Peterson Nursing Home in Osage City. She was born March 4, 1921, at Osage City, the daughter of Carl Raymond and Jalena Rosetta Johnson. She attended Rapp Grade School and graduated from Osage City High School in 1938. Pauline was a member of the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Osage City all of her life and also was a member of the Women's organization of the church and the choir. She was a member of the Sorosis Club and the Rapp Home Demonstration Unit when it was active and many civic and school organizations. She was the great-granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Moberg who moved here by covered wagon from Illinois in 1869 and settled west of Osage City. It was there that she and her husband lived and raised their family. They lived there throughout their married lives and she remained on the farm after his death. She married Albert Lundgren on March 5, 1942, in Osage City. He preceded her in death on July 4, 1995. Survivors include three daughters, Joan Lundgren and her husband, Ted Grasso of Brindisi, Italy, Jane DeBaun and her husband, Bob of Kildeer, Illinois and Gail Bean and her husband, Pat, of Osage City; one son, Paul Lundgren of Effingham; two brothers, Calvin R. Johnson and Ernie L. Johnson, both of Osage City; and four grandchildren, Elizabeth DeBaun, Blake DeBaun, Kristin Bean and Patrick Bean. Services will be at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, November 7, 2006, at the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Osage City. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery. She will lie in state from 3:00 until 8:00 PM, Monday with the family receiving friends from 7:00 until 8:00 PM at VanArsdale Funeral Chapel in Osage City. Memorial contributions can be made to the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church and sent in care of the funeral chapel at 107 North Sixth, Osage City, KS 66523. Pauline M. Lundgren
