Rachel Huninghake Obituary

FRANKFORT- Rachel Huninghake, 79, passed away Oct. 29, 2007 at Mercy Hopsital in Manhatten. She was born April 18, 1928 in Winifred, KS, the daughter of Frank Suther and Wilma Stoever. Rachel graduated from Marysville High School. She was a life member of Annunciation Catholic Church, and was a religion teacher for 18 years, and was a member of the United Women Church, Altar society, Oregon Trail, Association, Friendship Club, Tuesday Club, Sullivan Slugger, and RSVP. She married Victor Huninghake, who passed away on Sept. 26, 1994. Rachel is also preceded by her sister, Helen Fisher. She is survived by her sons; David Huninghake of Vermillion, Donald Huninghake of Frankfort, Leo Huninghake of Frankfort, Jerry Huninghake of Westmoreland, and John Huninghake of Frankfort; her daughters, Helen Quiring of Broken Arrow, OK, and Elaine Hofman of Blaine, KS; her brothers, Lawrence Suther of Frankfort, and Jim Suther of Atchison; her sisters Mary Ann Sperslage of Oneida, Margaret Denneler of Colby, and Wilma Harrington of Frankfort; and 18 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday at Padden Chapel from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Annunciation Catholic. Funeral services will be Wed. Oct. 31, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at Annunciation Catholic Church, Frankfort. Memorials may be made to the church or American Cancer Society. Rachel Huninghake
