Lee, May Dean and family, my wife Elizabeth and I are deeply saddened by Shawn's death. While we haven't kept in touch regularly in recent years, Shawn is a larger part of my history and has shaped who I am. He was a true friend who went out of his way to help me personally on many occassions. From providing transportation back in college, to allowing me to live with him in his apartment early in my career. I don't think I ever properly thanked or repaid him for his kindness.
Beyond that, he entertained all of us with his unique brand of humor. Shawn was a complicated guy who kept us all guessing. But we always knew that his heart was in the right place.
Know that he is missed by his friends and will not be forgotten. I hope you can find some solace in the fact that Shawn left a positive legacy with the many lives he touched.

Our deepest sympathy goes to all of you in the Fraker Family. Shawn was a great person and always had a smile on his face. It is so tragic that his life had to end this early. Have a lot of memories of Shawn, and all of the other brothers growing up. Never a dull moment with any of them. May God be with each and every one of you during this time.

Lee and May Dean, my deepest sympathy goes out to you and the rest of the boys. Know that Shawn and your entire family will be in my families Thoughts and Prayers, well into the future.
Honestly, just a week ago while cleaning out closets, my wife found and gave me five packages of pictures from "the 80's", that I had taken while hanging with my "true friends". Shawn was in most, with his smug smile and goofy antics. As I reflect, most of my memories of High School and College have "Fraker" in them. I can guarantee that part of who I am today is a result of the Goodness of Shawn Fraker from those days. One taken with Shawn and the "Holiday Rambler" camper, while at Lake Perry was my favorite, he looked like he was on top of the world.... Oh the good ole days!
In closing, I can only imagine how such a tragic end to a life must be difficult for you. Trust that I will always remember Shawn as a Special Person and True Friend.

Our hearts broke when we read about the accident. My children and I have many fond memories of the years we spent with Shawn. He was our neighbor and loved playing with our kids....Trivial Pursuit, watching movies and swimming in Shawn's pool....will always remember his kindness and laughter. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
