Tony Henderson Obituary

Tony F. "T.J." Henderson Jr., 22, Carbondale, died Friday, August 31, 2007. He was born June 14, 1985, at Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Tony and Linda Louise Spencer Henderson. He grew up and lived in the Carbondale Community all of his life. T.J. was a farmer and a rancher. He attended Santa Fe Trail High School. Survivors include his mother, Linda Henderson, Dunedin, FL; his father, Tony Henderson, Carbondale, KS; sisters, Jessica McCormick, Auburn, KS, Jerrica Henderson and Haley Henderson, both of Carbondale, KS; a brother, Trevor Henderson, Carbondale, KS; a brother-in-law, Mike McCormick, Auburn; a niece, Ashlind Tucker, Carbondale, KS; grandmothers, Shirley Henderson, Carbondale, KS and Virginia David, Fulton, MO. Cremation is planned. A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 10, 2007, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Scranton, Kansas. Inurnment will be in Auburn Cemetery at a later date. Family visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, at Carey Funeral Home, Burlingame. Memorial contributions may be made to the T.J. Henderson Memorial, a fund to be determined later by the family, and sent % the funeral home, P.O. Box 196, Burlingame, KS 66413.

Shirley & family, we are so saddened to hear about the loss of TJ. TJ was a teenager when we last saw him 5 years ago. Hard to believe this much time has passed. TJ will be remembered warmly by us.....his passing came as a big shock.

I did not know T.J. personally, but my heart goes out to his family. It is so hard to lose someone you love, especially one so young. I lost my son last summer and I know the shock and pain you are feeling now. I pray that God gives you all peace and strength through the coming days. My thoughts and prayers are with his Parents, especially. When you lose a child, no matter what age, a part of you dies, too. God bless you and may T.J. rest in peace.
