Our family will all miss Aunt Alice very much. She always made us feel welcomed in her home and she was a very talented artist. Our homes are filled with Aunt Alice's beautiful artwork and we will continue to enjoy them for many years.

Alice was truly one of the smartest women that I have ever known. Everything that she did was done professionally. We loved her and will miss her greatly. Love, Sis

I met Mrs. Thurmond when I first moved to Mississippi. I had an opertunity to discuss some of her work with her and become fond of her paintings. I purchased a number her prints and had them framed for my own personal pleasure. I was so impressed with her and her work I later opened an art shop in Port Gibson, MS. I purchased all of the invitory out of her shop at North Park Mall in Jackson and have it in my shop in Port Gibson

My sympathy goes out to her husband and family. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her and her art work.

Although you don't know me, I have 7 "Mississippi prints" hanging in my living room. They have brought me much joy over the last 25 years. I have often thought of contacting Mrs. Thurmond for more. I grew up in Mississippi and met her many years ago at McRaes when I started my collection. My sincere sympathy
