Berry Grim Holeman, age 85, died Sunday January 12, 2014 at home surrounded by his family. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5pm until 8pm at Natchez Trace Funeral Home and a funeral service Wednesday at 2:00pm with visitation 1 hour prior. Interment will be in Natchez Trace Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Holeman was a native of Carroll County, MS and moved to the Jackson area in 1956. He was a Brick Mason by trade and after retirement worked in Security. He is a Veteran of the U.S Navy and a 23rd Degree Mason. He enjoyed hunting and fishing but his family always came first. He loved his wife, children and grandchildren, even having a nickname for every grandchild. He always made sure they were provided for first.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Drayden G. Holeman and Saddie Dunn Holeman; son, Hal Keith Holeman; siblings, Charley Holeman, Rodger Holeman and step-brother Larry Lamb and 2 grandchildren, Nicole Blansett and William D. Holeman.

Mr. Holeman is survived by his wife, Willie Mae Holeman, children, William Holeman, Glenda Butler, Deborah Carson and Carolyn Blansett; 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Leukemia Foundation or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
