Beth Easterling Obituary

Mrs. Beth Lack Easterling, 91, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2010, at St. Dominic Hospital from complications due to an automobile accident on Thursday, September 2, 2010, in Florence.
Visitation is 6pm-8pm today and 10am Wednesday at Lakewood Funeral Home. Funeral services are 11am Wednesday at Lakewood Chapel with interment following in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Mrs. Easterling was born in Morton, MS in 1919. Her parents were the late Owen and Alice Lack. She graduated Valedictorian from Morton High School her senior year in 1937. That same year she met and married the love of her life, Albert Easterling and remained married for 61 years before his death in 1998.
Mrs. Easterling was a member of Marvin United Methodist Church in Florence and a former member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Jackson where she was a longtime resident.
Mrs. Easterling's daughter said she was a kind and unselfish lady, she always put her family first, and never said a bad word against anybody. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert; and her sister, Margie O' Bannon.
She is survived by her daughter, Eve Cournoyer and her husband, Ronnie of Florence; one grandson, Chris Shelton; and two great grandchildren, James and Savannah Shelton, all of Pearl, also her beloved two grand dogs: Sir Winston and Heidi.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Animal Rescue League.

Eve & family, My thoughts and prayers are with you. Your mother was always so sweet and kind each time I saw her. I remember the time Savannah and Joshua were swimming at your house and she told us to be sure not to stay outside to long!
