Cleo Hodges Obituary

Cleo Patric Hodges, 57, departed this life on Thursday, April 5, 2007, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.
He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He possessed a keen sense of humor and in his presence was plenty of joy and laughter. He will be missed, but we will forever cherish his sweet, sweet spirit.
Cleo was born August 15, 1949, in McComb. He was one of four children born to the late Luther Edward Hodges and Ruth Magee Hodges. He attended Rose Hill Elementary School and graduated high school from Eva Gordon Attendance in Pike County. He attended Alcorn State University where he majored in Technology. After college, Cleo worked with Illinois Centeral Railroad and Oakley Training School, State of Mississippi.
He leaves to cherish his memory and carry on his legacy his devoted wife, Mary Dyer Hodges; one daughter and four sons: Pamela (Corey) Lowery of Cordova, Tenn., Ramon Hodges of Dallas, Texas, Tomarcio (Marvis) Dyer of Central Dallas, Texas, Rynell (Candance) Hodges of Magnolia, and Brandon Edward Hodges of Jackson; two sisters and one brother: Vivian (Curtis) Whiten of Baton Rouge, La., Rosia (Robert) Cook of Magnolia, and Charles (Linda) Hodges of Magnolia; three aunts and one uncle: Mattie (Mack) McDonald of Chicago, Ill., Melzina Magee of Chicago, Ill., Nercile Bonner of Magnolia, and Cecil Hodges of Gary, Ind.; a close family friend, Sandra Jefferson Gatlin; many neices and nephews, cousins, and family friends.
