Curtis cherished his family so he moved to his family's home in Mendenhall MS and later opened another law practice in that location. It is with a heavy heart I offer my condolences to the family of Attorney Curtis Hayes. I met Attorney Hayes shortly after being elected to the office of County Supervisor here in Pearl River County and we immediately bonded with one another. We had many conversations that covered the things we were both trying to do to help promote justice and fairness for the people we represented and the obstacles we sometimes faced. After retiring at the end of 2015 we still managed to stay in touch or I would often hear about something he said or done from those who worked around him. Rest in peace my friend, I will never forget you and the respect and encouragement you extended to me, but most of all your friendship.
