Daniel Lawrence Ferguson, 72, went to be with his Lord on Monday, July 3, 2017 at his home in Byram.

Memorial Services are Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 3 pm at Crossgates United Methodist Church in Brandon, MS. Visitation will begin at 2 pm at Crossgates. Ott & Lee Funeral Home of Brandon had been entrusted to the care of his arrangements.

Dan was born in Bassett, Virginia to the late Sidney and Carrie Rathburn Ferguson on January 10, 1945. He was an Insurance Salesman for over 10 years and had been a resident of the Jackson area since 1980. He was a member of Crossgates United Methodist Church; a member of the Club of Crossgates; and was a member of Beginning Again in Christ.

Dan was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Bettie Porch Ferguson; brothers, Farris Sidney Ferguson, James Ferguson, John Ferguson, and Marion Wayne Ferguson; and a step-son, James Porch.

Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Elaine Ferguson of Byram, MS; his brother, Robert Ferguson (Martha) of Moorhead City, NC,; step-children, Robert Strickland (Pamela) of Brandon, MS, Katherine Strickland of Pearl, MS, Stephen Strickland (Jennifer) of Daphne, AL, and Carol Moss (Robert) of Flora, MS; and a step-daughter in law, Lesia Porch of Raymond, MS; eleven step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
