Christy, I met Daryel many years ago in a class at USM. From the time of that class on, we spoke whenever we saw each other on the campus. Then I saw an article about Handicapable Vans in the paper in recent years and was glad he was someone I knew when I had need for such a van myself. I am so sorry that you--and all of us--have experienced the loss of his light on this earth. But I rejoice that he is able to walk and run and dance in Heaven and that we can look forward to seeing him again one day. My prayers are with you, that you will feel our Heavenly Father's Arms around you, comforting you.

Christy, I am so sorry for your loss. We have all lost because of the commitment and difference Daryel made in all our lives. He has won though, and we have to be rejoicing that he is not suffering any more. I can only imagine how hard this is for you and I am praying God will gather you in His arms and comfort as only He can. Love and prayers, Betty

I met Daryel 14 years ago when I needed van modifications, from there we became good friends. He always had a smile on his face and had a great since of humor. He was a leader and an inspiration to us all. He never let anything get him down and if it did you never knew it. I will miss his friendship, his advice, and his encouragement he gave to us all. Christy, as long as I have known you and Daryel, you have always been like peas and carrots. Your love for each other was always unconditional. Please know that my family and I send out our hearts and prayers to you all. We will miss our friend and feel blessed just to have known him.
