Eric Hamer Obituary
Ridgeland
Eric T. Hamer, 43, of Ridgeland, MS passed away on October 17, 2013.
Eric was a loving and devoted father to his children Corie Elizabeth and Jessica Grace. He is survived by his father Donald Edward Hamer, mother Jean Grey, and brothers Michael, Scott, and Donald. He is also survived by the mother of his children Alicia McCreary, nee Gong, as well as many devoted and loyal friends.
Eric was a graduate of Millsaps College and earned his Juris Doctorate at Lewis and Clark Law School. Prior to his illness Eric served as the attorney for the Madison County Board of Supervisors.
Eric was an avid golfer and debater and often plied these tradecrafts on the fairways of the Annandale Country Club where he left all intellectually richer and most financially poorer. Eric's enthusiastic full-speed-ahead approach to life was equaled by few and in his wake he has left us with many fond memories that we may recount to the limits of our lives, for this we are grateful to have been touched by him. We will miss him dearly.
A celebration of Eric's life will be held on Friday October 25, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mint The Restaurant located at 1000 Highland Colony Parkway, Suite 5002 • Ridgeland, Mississippi 39157. All are welcomed.
Memorial donations can be made to the First Tee Organization.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I had the privilege of working with Eric at Phelps Dunbar, and we remained friends through the years. I always smile when I think of him because I immediately envision his big smile, quick wit, kindness, and his love of life. We laughed A LOT!! He was a wonderful person and a fantastic and thoughtful friend. This world is a lesser place without him. Thank you, Eric, for being my friend.
