Barbara Josephine DuBose, 68, died May 3, 2013 at Baptist Hospital. A graveside service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 6, 2013 at Lakewood Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m Sunday at Sebrell Funeral Home. Survivors include: son, Richard M. McCraw, Jr. (Frelisha) of Pearl; sister, Faye Brooks (Van) of Utica; 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Barbara Jo, but I go to church with Faye, her sister and my heart and prayers reach out to the family in this time of your loss and your sorrow. Ms. Barbara Jo is much better off and has a new body with everything working perfectly and has no more pain, but we still have the sorrow here on earth. She's probably singing with the Saints to the Great I AM, dancing around the throne of God. My prayer is that God will send down the Spirit of Comfort to be with each and every member of the family as well as her friends and everyone who is hurting at her loss. May God send you all a special blessing tomorrow as you say your final farewells here on this earth. This is my prayer for you, in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.
