Mr. John Alan Cheek, 55, of Kosciusko died at his residence Friday, June 24, 2016. Mr. Cheek was born August 6, 1960, at West Point Military Academy in Newburgh, New York. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 27, 2016, at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Parkway Cemetery. Reverend Doyle Mitchell will officiate. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 26, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and from 9:00 a.m. until services begin at 10:00 a.m., Monday June 27, 2016, at Jordan Funeral Home.
Mr. Cheek was a member of Williamsville Independent Methodist Church and a long-time employee of J.C. Cheek Contractors before becoming owner and operator of his own business J.A. Cheek Trucking company for more than ten years.
Survivors include sons: John Winston Cheek and Charlie Joe Cheek; stepdaughter, Samantha Moore, and her husband Ryan; mother, Jeanene Crosby Cheek; father, Joe D. Cheek and his wife, Harriet; sister, Cheryl Lynn King; brothers: James B. Cheek and his wife Michelle; Jerry C. Cheek and his wife Jennifer; Joseph M. Cheek and his wife Mi Young; Jeffrey Cheek and his wife Sharon, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Madison Cheek, Tommy Moody, Dwight Holt, Louis Crowe, Nelson Miles Veasley, Jessie Crosby, Houston Cheek, and Allen Etheridge.
