To the Johnson Family,

I am so sorry for you loss.
I worked for Larry at the Warren, Ohio facility. He was one of the sweetest and most caring Director's that Delphi had. He truly cared for each and every one that worked for him. And that is so rare in the work force. He was a great big teddy bear. Also, he had such flare for fashion.

Larry or dad number 2 as I referred to him as for most of my life was a one of a kind person who was a great mentor in management and life. He was a great family friend and always had the best stories to make everyone laugh. The stories usually involved my father and him. His big smile and bear hugs will be greatly missed...

To the Johnson family- I taught and tried to live to the spirit and essence of "Excellence" but Larry exemplified it every day in every way. His hearty laugh still reverberates in my memory and his big bear hugs still wrap around me. I hope his memory comforts you in the days and weeks ahead. He was loved, admired and respected and will continue to be forever.

Dear DeBorah,

Words can't express the sorrow I felt when you called me about Larry's passing.

While supporting Larry at Delphi in Dayton, Ohio as his Executive Assistant, he was not only professional but he was a personable manager who always made time for everyone who requested his attention and always with a smile. His brightest smile was when he talked about his "Lovely DeBorah". He truly loved you, his children and grandchildren.

I am so grateful for having the opportunity to know Larry who inturn brought us together and I know we will always stay in touch because of him.

I can honestly say Larry was the best manager I ever worked for in my 31 years at Delphi and I will truly miss him.

May God Bless and keep you!

Dear Mrs. Johnson and Family,

I had the pleasure of working with Larry for several years in Materials Management at the GM/Delphi/now GM again plant in Lockport, NY. He never failed to brighten our day with his smile and good-natured "banter" when he walked through the Purchasing department. We kept tabs on his promotions and moves throughout the years and when I gave him a call now and then, he always remembered to call me by the nickname he gave me in the 1980's in Lockport with a cheerful "Hi,C.I.". He was a wonderful man and will be sorely missed by friends all over the country and world.

For those of us who were fortunate to have him in our lives we will miss him more than words can express. However, for those who believed like he did, we will be fortunate to see each other again. Deborah and family, please accept my deepest condolences. He loved you so and spoke of you often during the years I trained with him in Mississippi. I am sorry that I will not be able to attend the services. How I wish I could be there.
