What memories Mrs. Strawder's passing stirred! What a blessed long life she had. My big sister Jean Bruce went to school w/the Strawder gang, friends with Sarah Jane, whom I remember clearly. Living on Casey's Lane, my cousins and I played many hours in "Strawder's pasture", as cowboys and Indians and pioneers and princesses. Later, I went with my Mom a few times to buy plants from Mrs. Strawder and the visits were so enjoyable. God Bless you all.

i had the pleasure of meeting ms mary on my way home from work one day when i saw her sign for hanging plants for sale. it was a friendship that i have always cherished she would talk about her love for her family and her plants and boy did she have a green thumb. she could tell stories for hours, i am so sorry for the strawder family's loss for it is truly a loss no one should have to experience.
