Vic touched many lives along his way -- I first met him on a birding hike in the Pearl River swamps. My sympathies to his family and I hope they will always remember him fondly as do those of us whose paths crossed with Vic's over the years,

Sadly - Lost another of America's Greatest Generation.
I'm sure, he's looking down from his heavenly perch, whether from his nebulous vantage, or riding shotgun in his B26.
My condolences to the entire Duvic family for you loss.

Cathy,

Please accept our sincere condolences on the loss of your beloved father and know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and all your family at this sad time. We will forever remember how you pointed out that vacant lot to us on our tour back in 2005 and proudly told us about your father attending St. Aloysius High School.

My strongest memories of Vic (and Peggy) are as neighbors on Prentiss Avenue in New Orleans when Cathy, Mary Helen, and I were barely of school age. My parents, Nelson and Marion, were grateful to have the Duvics as neighbors and held them in their hearts until their last days. Dad was thrilled to receive and read the book that Vic published. I still have it on my bookshelf.

Condolences to all. May you have beautiful, long-lasting memories.

We very much enjoyed Vic's company when he and Peggy visited us in London, UK, many years back. I have a copy of his book about his wartime exploits, and am glad he made it home after forty missions. Our condolences go to his many friends and family.
