I've lost a dear friend who just recently came back into my life after we had lost touch for many years. Just talked to him the day before his mom called to tell me he was gone. I was in shock for days and still saddens me deeply whenever I think of it. Mike and I played together in several garage bands and worked together on music through the years. Im so glad we talked and spent his last few months together on a couple of occasions. He was a great guy, great father and son, and a great friend.

Several years ago I got to know Mike through church and remember many times that we prayed for him when his health problems started. Since we moved away I lost touch with him...which I regret. I remember him as a faithful, godly man for whom I had a great deal of respect. I'll always remember after his first surgery when he returned to church for the first time. He really wasn't up to it but as he put it his "bones were aching to be at church." That really said a lot about him.
My prayers are with his family and friends.

I have pleasant memories of visits to Isola, MS and the home of Aunt Annie Ruth and Aunt Lucille. We young cousins entertained ourselves as best we could while the adults visited and had cake on their lovely china. May God grant you extra grace to endure Mike's sudden departure. Don't forget "joy comes in the morning". I grow more anxious for a new day in heaven with each passing year. With loving thoughts and prayers, Cathy.
