Dr. Roy Lee Washington, Jr. was born on December 7,1961 in Jackson, Mississippi to Mr. Roy Lee Washington, Sr. and Miss Virginia Mason. Dr. Washington attended school in Jackson, Mississippi and graduated from Jackson Christian Academy. Dr. Washington confessed to Christ at an early age as his personal Lord and Saviour and was a member of Siwell Church of Christ. Dr. Washington worked for many years as a Computer Network Specialist at Jackson State University .
On Wednesday November 2, 2016, in Houston, Texas, Dr. Washington went home to be with his Lord and Saviour .

Dr. Roy Lee Washington, Jr. is survived by his children, Justin Washington of Ooltewah, Tennessee, Jeremy Washington, Jarred Washington, Joshua Washington, Alexanjria Washington, Keenan Washington and Kevin Washington all of Jackson, Mississippi; grandchildren, Faith Washington and Roman Washington of Jackson, Mississippi; mother, Virginia Mason of Houston, Texas; sister, Mary Cagel of Houston, Texas; brothers, Carl Conway of Indianapolis, Indiana, Leroy Washington (Macheral ) of Houston, Texas, Donald Washington (Regina) of Houston, Texas and Ronald Washington (Marjory) of Jacksonville, Florida and a host of other relatives and friends .
The funeral service for Dr. Roy Lee Washington, Jr. will be held Saturday, November 12 , 2016 at 11 o'clock A.M at Mt. Zion C.M.E. Church, 1205 Henry Harris Road in Utica , Mississippi 39175. Pastor Rev. Dr. Charles Watson will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery .
