I will never forget when we visited them. I was a kid and allergic to onions. This often threw people off and would just expect me to figure out what I could eat. But, not with Sandy. She made a wonderful dinner and introduced me to corn fritters. I thought they were amazing and talked about them for a long time. She had a way of making everything feel comfortable. She raised kids that were all good kids and I love each one of them even though we have not spent time together in years.
