Sara Imogene "Jean" Wasson

Leland, MS

Sara Imogene "Jean" Wasson, 80, died on April 16, 2014

at University medical Center in Jackson after a brief illness. She was a resident of Leland. She taught in the Greenville Public Schools for many years until her retirement. She attended Millsaps College and graduated from Delta State University.

She is survived by her sister, Eleanor Fielder of Leland, her brothers Charles N. Wasson, Sr. And Rodger D. Wasson, Sr. Both of Asheville, NC. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and special great nieces Sydney Wasson of Thomasville, NC, Elizabeth and Sarah Wasson of Madison.

A memorial service for family and close friends will be held in the Shady Grove Community Center near Kosciusko at 11 AM Saturday, April 19, 2014 with the Rev. Jim Genesse officiating.
