Although Mr. Wise and I were not terribly close he did far more for me then he will ever know! He was more of a man than most could hope to be. I will always remember that I would never be where I am today if it weren't for Terrell Wise. I am so thankful for the friendship and help he and his lovely wife, Eloise, were to my Grandmother, Nell Luter, and the rest of our family over the years!

Mr. Terrell Wise was a gentleman of the highest order. The lifetime of achievements and honors that he earned were surpassed only by the grace and humbleness with which he lived his life. A business and community leader whose service in World War II garned special recognition, he was the living embobiment of America's Greatest Generation. He was one of my heroes not just because of his many achievements but moreso due to his unconditional friendship and kindness.

Little known to most of his numerious friends was his prowess on the football field. Playing for a terribly outmanned Pensacola High School team in 1937, the two touchdowns he scored led to the defeat of the Number 1 team in the nation in a stunning upset by the score of 13-7. That night he truly earned his nickname "Star". While he wore number 8 on the field, he will always be the number one PHS Tiger in my heart. I believe that today he is once again running free on God's grid iron. Rest in peace dear friend!

May God comfort and protect his beloved and cherished wife, Eloise and daughter Terry Lynn and the light of his life Mary Haley.
