Theodore Jones Obituary
Jackson
Theodore Cornelius Jones was born September 29, 1941 in Hinds County. He was the son of the late George Jones, Jr. and Mildred Brent Jones. He graduated from Jim Hill High School in 1958 at the age of sixteen, and received his B.S. Degree in Chemistry from Tougaloo College in 1962. In 1966 he received his D.D.S. from Howard University and soon after served as a captain in the United States Air Force. He then received his specialty degree from Tufts University in Boston, MA in 1974. Active in St. Luther Missionary Baptist Church since childhood, Dr. Jones confirmed his salvation and bcame a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Jackson, Mississippi in 1967 where he served faithfully until his passing.
Survivors include his wife Clintoria Inge Jones of 47 years and five children: Dana (Demetrius) Bryant, Vann (Felicia) Jones, Margo (Alex) Thomas, Kristen (Edward) Jones and Karrin Jones; seven grandsons and seven granddaughters. He also leaves to cherish his memories one brother, George (Faye) Jones III and nephews Michael (Tamara) Jones and Christopher (Erica) Jones.

Dear Clintoria and Family,
I am deeply saddened to hear about Ted's transition. I shall always remember him as my greatest dentist, friend and colleague. During his specialty training at Tuft University,I was attending Harvard Medical School.Ted was very supportive and facilitated my adjustment to being so far away from home.
May precious memories of the wonderful years you spent together and his legendary contributions to Dentistry alleviate the pain of his departure.

Ted was a loyal friend and classmate. He and I were in the same study group for four years at Howard University school of dentistry and I will truly miss him. I visited him last November. I was looking forward to seeing him again this coming November and I am disappointed that I will not be able to see him. May he rest in peace.
