Wesley McKellar Obituary

Wesley Lee McKellar, 81, died Saturday, August 2, 2008, of renal failure. Mr. McKellar was born July 24, 1927, in Shreveport, LA.
He served in the U.S. Navy as a hospital corpman during WWII, and attended Louisiana Tech University. He was a Operator with Hess Oil Refinery in Purvis, MS for over 30 years. Mr. McKellar was a 33rd degree Mason and a Joppa Shriner. He was a member of Heritage United Methodist and the American Legion.
During his retirement, he and his wife of forty-eight years, Wanda Evans McKellar, traveled to Europe and Hawaii, and enjoyed gardening with friends.
Mr. McKellar was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda.
Survivors include: two daughters, Cynthia Day of Marietta, GA and Jenny Walker of Madison, MS; four grandchildren, Kenneth Day, Kristine Day, Laurie Walker, and Thomas Walker; one brother, Robert McKellar of Hattiesburg; three nephews, Vance and David McKellar and Bill Curry; and one niece, Diane Curry.
Services will be held at Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. today. The interment service will be in Highland Cemetery.
