William Burnside Obituary

William L. (Billy) Burnside, 81, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2010, at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Morrison Heights Baptist Church in Clinton. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery. Sebrell Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Burnside was born on March 15, 1929, in Lena, the son of the late, W.I. and Eunice Burnside. He was a bus driver for Trailways and Greyhound for over thirty years. Mr. Burnside enjoyed fishing, gardening and collecting antiques.
He is preceded in death by his daughters, Mary Burnside and Candie Armstrong and son, David Burnside. He is also preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters.
Survivors include: his wife of 60 years, Peggy Burnside of Jackson; daughter, Donna Gallagher McGee of Richland; son, Barry Burnside (Kerri) of Clinton; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; brother, Eugene; sister, Clara Dale, brother, Johnny all of Carthage; brother, K.P. of Brandon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Morrison Heights Baptist Church, 3000 Hampstead Blvd., Clinton, MS 39056-5261.
