Active Duty, CW3 Dustin K. Wright, age 40, of Woodlawn, TN passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.
Dustin entered this life on April 14, 1985. He was a graduate of Oral Roberts University, where he obtained his Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, being outdoors, hiking, spending time in nature, and shooting guns. He even built his own gun range, where he often spent his time. Dustin was a member of Mosaic Church, where he served on the Security team. He was also a member of CVMA ® TN Chapter 18-2, where he received the road name, “Eagle”. He previously served with the 82nd Airborne Division and was currently serving with the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade. Throughout his Military career, he achieved the Meritorious Service Medal, the Air Medal with “C” Device, the Army Commendation Medal with three oak leaf clusters, the Army Achievement Medal with three oak leaf clusters, the Expert Infantryman Badge, the Army Aviator Badge, the Army Parachutist Badge, and the Army Pathfinder Badge.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Jency Wright.
Survivors include his wife, Omaira Wright; children, Antonio, Alecia, and Natalie; parents, Elizabeth Wright and Wayne Wright; siblings, Benjamin Wright, and Sarah Wright.

I´m saddened to hear about Dustin´s passing. I assisted Dustin with purchasing a home when he was stationed at JBLM in Tacoma WA. My sincere condolences to his family and we thank them for his service to our great nation.

Thankful that my wife and I have known Dustin since he was a teen. He was always a polite and upright young man. Especially proud that he decided to serve our country. Fly high young man. We love you.
