Doris Estelle Napiwoski, passed away on September 10, 2025, in Clarksville, TN, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth that will never be forgotten. Born on January 10, 1928, in Dickson County, TN, Doris lived a life that was rich with experiences, affection, and a passion for her work, family, and friends.
Throughout her career, Doris showcased her unwavering commitment and entrepreneurial spirit, starting with her time at Fort Campbell in her younger years. She was also the proud owner and operator of Skyway & Oak Haven Motels, where her geniality and generous heart welcomed countless guests. Doris dedicated over 50 years to her passion of real estate—her spirited approach to helping local Montgomery County families find homes was a testament to her warm nature and unfathomable kindness.
Doris was more than just a career woman; she was a loving mother and a cherished grandmother. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Theresa (John) Converse, and Wallanna Boylston (late husband Robert). Her legacy lives on in her granddaughter, Catherine Boylston.
In addition to her professional pursuits, Doris had a profound appreciation for nature, particularly for birds, which brought her immense joy after retirement. She found solace in watching them dart and flutter, with a special fondness for hummingbirds.
Doris was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Roscoe and Mattie Gilliam, and the father of her children, Roy J. Napiwoski, twin brothers, Robert and James Gilliam, and her grandson, Craig Boylston.
A truly precious soul, Doris Estelle Napiwoski, embodied warmth, kindness, and generosity. Her life remained an open book of love that touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
