Wannye` Elijah Boone began his earthly journey on December 13, 2000, in Clarksville, Tennessee, the son of loving parents, Karmen Boone and Stephen Funnye. He is preceded in death by his brother, Lucas Graham; paternal grandparents, Verdelle (Capers) Funnye, Chicago, IL; uncle, Kelvin Funnye and aunt, Darlene Funnye.
He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and joined Walnut Grove Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Carl E. Livingston. During his time, he once served as a member of the Walnut Grove Youth Department, Sunday School Ministry, a member of the Baptist Training Union and one of the first Junior Deacons.
Wannye` received his education in the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System. He was employed at various restaurants.
He participated in various sports activities such as Clarksville Junior Pro Football, Saint Bethlehem Little League Baseball, Rossview Middle School Basketball and YMCA basketball.
Wannye`, was affectionately known as “Chubbs”. He was a loving and caring son, grandson, brother and uncle. He really enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He knew how to light up a room and make people feel seen and heard.
He was extremely passionate about music. He loved to effortlessly freestyle and had a unique flow.
He leaves to cherish his memories, loving parents, Karmen-Boone (Arnold) Graham, Clarksville, TN and Stephen (Lillian) Funnye, Cincinnati, OH; brothers: William Boone, Minneapolis, MN, Warren Boone, Wesley Boone, both of Nashville, TN, Donta Berry, Jr., and Maxmillian Boone-Graham, Clarksville, TN; sisters: Stephanie (Tommy Shaw), Kentucky, Karmen Boone-Berry, Chicago, IL, Phoenix Boone-Graham and Uri Graham, both of Clarksville, TN; maternal grandparents, Wendell and Theresia Boone, Clarksville, TN; aunts, Shareka Scott, Stone Mountain, GA, Harriett Jackson-Tyler and Candace Smith, both of Chicago, IL, Toni (Willie) Miller, Pleasant View, TN and Kara (Samuel) Bush, Sumter, SC; uncles: Rabbi Capers (Mary) Funnye, Chicago, IL, Wendell Boone, Jr., Maricopa, AZ and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
