Geraldine Jerrindie Obituary

Geraldine Wilson Jerrindie, 72, of Hayesville, passed away on Saturday, June 14, 2025. She was born to the late Frank and Lillie Mae Wilson on Sept. 14, 1952. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Derek Wilson.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County. Geraldine was a Christian and of the Baptist faith. She had owned and operated several restaurants in her lifetime and her specialty was homemade jellies, bread and Shoney's strawberry pie. Many people remember her warm welcome and tasty food.
She is survived by her daughter, Mandy Jane Fortner; brother, Danny Wilson and sister, Gail (Bucky) Kelly. Several grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
No services are planned at this time. The family respectfully requests in lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Mount Zion Baptist Church in Marble, N.C. for the cemetery fund. Donations should be mailed to Mary Ruth Keller, 5347 Highway 141, Marble, N.C. 28905.
