Cathy White Obituary

(nee Olszewski) age 78, beloved wife of David for 52 years; loving mother of Elizabeth (Bill) Difucci, Daniel (Julie) White, Allison (Vince) Domenico, and Abigail (Brad) Arbuckle; devoted Nana of Morgan (Garrett), Josh, Dominic, Mia, Jordyn, Remington, Max, Leo, Winnie, Ruby, Sunny, and Haze and great-grandmother of Della; cherished daughter of the late Theodore and Dorothy (nee Egert) Olszewski; dear sister of Dottie (John) LeBlanc and the late Theodore Olszewski and Dianne Jones; dearest daughter-in-law of the late Richard and Audrey White and sister-in-law of Debra (Jeffrey) Sadofsky and the late Holly Sovich; aunt of many. Cathy was born on November 13, 1946, in Cleveland, Ohio, where she found love, built a family, and enjoyed all aspects of life. Cathy loved being outdoors and would walk every day, regardless of the weather. As an avid reader, she would visit the library and always leave with a bag full of books. To have known Cathy, is to know kindness, generosity, and love, she made a friend of everyone she met. Family meant everything to her, she did everything she could to put those she loved before herself and often total strangers, she had a truly kind and giving heart. She made every family get together special with her famous and delicious roll-ups. Surrounded by loving family, Cathy passed away on September 25, 2025, leaving a legacy of love that will bring comfort to those missing her dearly. A private gathering will be held to celebrate Cathy's life. Arrangements and Cremation entrusted to THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS. Online obituary and guestbook at

Yesterday

I grew up a few streets from Cathy and she was a dear friend. A favorite time was the day her mom baked bread and I would stop at her house on our way home from school. It was the best! Sometimes in high school we even exchanged clothes when we got tired on our own. She was in my wedding in the summer of 1970. Not living in Ohio since then, it was not always easy to see each other. My heart goes out to David and the rest of the family. Her laugh....I remember it well. Much love, Pat Seidel Nordberg

Dear White family, I truly am saddened for your loss. Cathy was our "Office Mom" for many years that we worked together. She was direct to the point whether we were in the wrong or right. To the children, we listened to you all grow up. She was so very proud of each and every one of you.
David, what the two of you created with the "Family First" approach worked wonders.

Truly missed are just words ...Cathy created a legacy to follow.

With love and deep respect,

Jim Toth
