Dorothy A. Gillen

(nee Jones) of Medina, OH, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February 25, 2022. Beloved wife of Fred R. Gillen, to whom she was married for 54 years. Devoted mother of Marianne Peacock (Chris) and late Michael (Jennifer). Loving grandmother of Grace, William, Stella, and Samuel. She was one of 11 children of the late William H. Jones and Frances M. Jones. Dottie was a graduate of Baldwin Wallace University and an elementary school teacher in the Strongsville School District for many years. Her joy was her family and friends, with whom she traveled, skied, golfed, hiked, bicycled, and spent time at the beach. The family will hold a celebration of life in her honor in the coming weeks.
