My eternal love, prayers and condolences to the Cobbs family. It was not too long ago that I learned of the passing of our beloved Mildred. I recall many times that I would pick her up and she and Marilyn Williams and I would go out partying. I pray God's continued strength in the times to come.
See you on the other side,
Lovingly,

To the Cobbs Family: I am so saddened by the loss of your little "Mil Mil", and my "One Bone". She was such a special person, and she touched everyone's life that she met. From the projects where we all grew up, and to this day, our families are still intertwined. Mildred's and my friendship extended well into our adult lives, and resulted in our children also becoming friends and interacting with one another. Mildred, I've loved you from "The Big Field" to Longwood, to "The Mall" and countless other places we kicked it - which I will not name - for fear that she would fuss at me, in that quiet way she had of letting you know when she did not agree with something you said or did. That is a warm and comforting Legacy to leave, and I will always cherish the many memories we shared. Rest now, my friend, you don't have to fight anymore, you can finally put your feet up and take a load off; you carried a lot of weight on that little bitty frame. To the Cobbs Family: the memories of all of you will forever be embedded in my heart. Although I know Mildred is being rocked and cradled by God, we will miss her here. Someone once reminded me that just like we want to surround ourselves with good people, so God likes good people around Him as well; though I know this does little to diminish the sadness and heaviness in your hearts, I hope you can take comfort in knowing that she left a ton of footprints, and we are the better for having known her. I will never forget her; I pray God blesses each and every one of you, and gives you the strength to lean on each other during this sad time. I pray for Peace and Endurance on your entire family. My Love to you all.

My sincere sympathy to all of the family members of the Cobbs family. I remember nothing but good times living next to Mr. and Mrs. Cobbs, Mr. Cobbs always tending to his great looking garden, and of course Mrs. Cobbs with that bright, loving smile. Mildred was always very nice to me, she was one tough cookie, small but full of life and fire. I'm glad I knew her. It was nice hearing from old dear friends from Garden Court, celebrating the life of Mildred. I love you Cobbs Family, you've touched us all. God bless the family. Sincerely, Everett Williams.

Cobbs Family, I am sorry for your lost. Life is good but God is better. God has her now! Fond funny memories of Mildred were @ 2336 Garden Court when she and I (Marilyn) 2338 Garden Court would sit on the side walk and wait for your mom to finish baking those wondeful cookies and then we would wait until Mrs. Cobbs would go to the living room door to talk to my mom Mildred and I would run in the house stealing cookies that were to damm hot to even eat. Rest in Peace my Friend. I Love You All! Marilyn Dorrough
