Joyce Langston Obituary

Joyce Ann Langston, 73, of Clinton, Missouri, died Monday evening, July 28, 2025, at Adair Village in Clinton, Mo.
Joyce was born June 16, 1952 in Kansas City, Mo., the daughter of Marvin Eugene Worth and Berniece Hazel (Jackson) Worth. She married Everett Lee Gardner, and they were the parents of three children, Jennifer, Shawn, and Jody. Joyce later married Larry Langston, and he preceded her in death in 2015.
Joyce worked as a waitress and an assembly worker for many years. After her retirement she worked for the Calhoun school district and at Windsor high school in the cafeteria. She enjoyed thrift store shopping, going to garage sales, cheering for shuffleboard at the Eagles lodge, and listening to music at the senior center. Joyce loved spending time with friends and family.
Joyce is survived by two children, Jennifer Smith (Ronald), Windsor, Mo., and Jody Gardner (Jennifer), Blue Springs, Mo.; 6 grandchildren, Ronald Smith, Travis (Megan) Smith and Ashley Thompson (Trenton), Alexis Gardner, Zach Gardner, and Emma Gardner; 5 great-grandchildren, Hadley Annis, McKinley and Kiley Smith and Brody and Brynlee Thompson; 1 sister, Donna VanVleck (Jeff); and several nephews and nieces.
In addition to her parents and husband, Joyce was preceded in death by a son, Shawn Gardner, and 2 brothers, Richard Worth and Ed Worth.
Joyce's wishes were to be cremated. A celebration of life will be held August 8, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Village Pavilion, 303 S. Vansant Rd., Clinton, Mo. Condolences may be left online at www.hadleyfuneralhome.com.
