MARGARET ALDOURI LANCASTER - Margaret J. "Peg" (Woodcome) Aldouri, 73, passed peacefully on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at UMass Medical Center-University Campus in Worcester. She is survived by her two sons, Kanaan Aldouri; and Hussain Aldouri & fiancée Amanda Rebokis; her mother, Reona (Hermann) Woodcome; two sisters, Francine Hackler, and Mary-Kay Healy & husband John; brother-in-law Philip Laursen; generations of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She is predeceased by her father, William J. Woodcome, and two sisters, Patricia Laursen and Rita Parker. Raised in Lancaster, Peg graduated from St. John's Grammar School in Clinton and Nashoba Regional High School, Class of 1967. After graduation she packed up her bags and moved cross country to join her friend Jane McNally in the late 1960's San Francisco experience, creating stories she enjoyed sharing throughout her lifetime. Peg would later return home to Lancaster, where, in addition to raising her two sons, she would begin her professional career working for the federal government at Fort Devens. Although faced with adversities of mental and physical health struggles, Peg would become a proud cancer survivor, living life with deep appreciation for the blessings that surrounded her. Above all, she dedicated herself to family and was a proud mother, loving devoted daughter, sister, and aunt. Peg was genuine, loyal, and trusting, and the first to help another in need. Laughing, dancing, cooking, grocery shopping, and keeping up with her favorite shows were quintessential Peg. Her memory will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Immaculate Conception Church, 809 Main St., Lancaster, with burial to follow in Eastwood Cemetery.
