SNEADS FERRY — Mr. Nicholas Daniel "Nick" Jenkins, 20, of 146 Bell Pointe Drive, lost his young life on Tuesday, Feb. 9 2016, in Sneads Ferry.
A Graveside Service celebrating Nick's life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 12, at the Boyette Family Cemetery, off Dave Bright Road, with Dr. Ray Ammons officiating.
Born on Sept. 12, 1995 in Sampson County, Nick is the son of John Daniel and Lisa King Jenkins of Sneads Ferry. He attended First Baptist Church and was a 2013 Graduate of Dixon High School in Holly Ridge. He was an avid surfer, loved the ocean and music, and had a zest for life that was contagious. He was loved by all who knew him and will be eternally missed.
Nick is survived by his parents, Lisa and John Jenkins; two sisters: Sydnie Ann Jenkins and Courtney Grace Jenkins, both of the home; two brothers: Brandon Hugh Jenkins and Sean Payton Jenkins, both of Newport; special brother, Daniel Plenkovich of Sneads Ferry; paternal grandmother, Janice G. Jenkins; Niece, Raelyn Grace Dunn; Nephew, Eli Dunn; his girlfriend, Melanie Westlake, his two best friends: Peter Rose and Drew DeGroodt, all of Sneads Ferry.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Arnold Kermit and Melba Doris King; and his paternal grandfather, James Edward Jenkins.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb.11, at Royal-Hall Funeral Home, and other times at the home of his aunt and uncle, Velva and Lewis Capps, at 508 Shipp Road, Clinton, NC.

I never got to know you personally but you truly were a great individual!
