Oscar Honrine, Jr.
CLINTON — Oscar Thomas Honrine, Jr., 73, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021 at Lumberton Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24, at the Honrine Family Cemetery located on Honrine Road with the Rev. John Hobbs officiating. The family will receive friends immediately after the service and at other times at the home of his daughter, Melinda, at 1052 Bass Lake Road, Roseboro.
Junior was born Oct. 7, 1948 and was the son of the late Oscar and Ann Honrine. He was a mechanic at Clinton Truck and Tractor and to many local farmers around Sampson County. He had a passion for competing in tractor pulls. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers William Stanley and Dwight Honrine, and grandson Thomas Garrett Faircloth.
Survivors include: children, Cindy Honrine, Melinda Faircloth and Thomas Honrine; grandchildren, Lauren King, Jordan Faircloth, Jayla and Jamison Honrine; great-grandchildren, Emma and Hayes Hargrove, Harlow James and Tristan Hayes.
