DUNN — Ruth Tart Crumpler, 82, died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Newton Grove, with the Father Kevin Moley officiating. Interment will follow in the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church Cemetery.
A Rosary will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3, at West & Dunn Funeral Home Chapel, Newton Grove with a visitation to follow until 8 p.m.
Survivors include daughters, Susan C. Godwin of Benson, Jeannette C. Porter of Durham, Anita C. Hajjar of Goldsboro; son, Michael C. Crumpler of Greenville, S.C.; grandchildren, Joe E. Godwin Jr., David C. Porter, Leah Higgs, Kathryn G. Hajjar, Jason E. Godwin, Anna M. Hajjar, Brandon L. Porter, Christine C .Gladden, Jessica C. Hill; 15 great-grandchildren; and Rosette Monds, a special friend.
She was preceded in death by parents, Michale D. and Dorothy L. Tart; and husband, Herman C. Crumpler.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 211 Irwin St. Newton Grove, NC 28366 or to St. Jude's Children Hospital or to the Local Parrish of one's choice.
