CLINTON — Sylvia Bass Honrine, 86, of 163 Honrine Road, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Gardens of Roseboro.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 26, at 3 p.m. at Carr Memorial Church, 9688 Hobbton Hwy., with Rev. Penny Zimmer and Rev. Stanley King officiating. Burial will follow at Eliza Honrine Family Cemetery, Honrine Road.
Sylvia was born on July 19, 1939, and was the daughter of the late Almond and Ruth Casey Bass and the widow of Paul David Honrine. She took pride in her yard and enjoyed making it beautiful. You would often find her riding her golf cart with her assistant, four-legged companion, Rowdy. Last but not least her grand and great-grands were the apple of her eye.
She leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Paula H. Horne (James) and a son, Tommy Honrine, all of Clinton; two grandchildren, Adam Horne and Harley Horne (Hunter Rose); and three great-grandchildren, Ayden, Miley and Zoey.
In addition to her parents and husband, Sylvia was preceded in death by two brothers, Dan Bass and Ted Bass; and sister, Jane Wooten.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services on Thursday in the church sanctuary beginning at 2 p.m. and other times at her home.
