Jimmie Smiley Obituary
Survivors are his wife, Pastor Lucile W. Smiley; children, Tammie Johnson (Michael), LaShawn Smiley, Cathy Culbreth (Donnye) and Danielle Smiley-Cuesta(Eris); stepmother, Helen Smiley; brothers, James Smiley (Rozena), David Larry Jones, David Earl Jones (Lillie) and Craig Smiley; sisters, Edna Louise Kelly (Joseph), Juanita Jones, Dr. Brenda J. Shaw (James Wendell), Patricia A. Taylor (Jimmy, deceased) and Linda Smiley-White (Frank).
His wake will be from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at Trinity Missionary Baptist Temple, 1016 Live Oak Drive, Hinesville.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 1, also at Trinity Missionary Baptist Temple.
Services have been entrusted to Dorchester Funeral Home of Midway.

He was a great man of God devoted to God he was there for me when I really needed him I could go there and talk to him and he would pray for me he was my spiritual dad who are greatly missed we had a lot in common we both loved fish and I loved his aquarium in his office with his fish not just that he loves children as well so we both have in common because are used to work with kids with my dad my Biological dad I talk about him to a lot of people and tell people how he was to me I miss him but I know he’s in a better place and he will always have a place in his Spiritual daughters heart And once we day I will see him with the king of kings and Lord of the Lords

To First Lady Smiley and Family, my prayers are with you all as you go through these trying times. God has definitely called another one of His beautiful doves home. I met Rev Smiley and First Lady Smiley doing work for the Lord by coming around to the dining facilities on Fort Stewart, GA picking up food to take to Second Harvest. Pastor Smiley was always joyful and I could tell he enjoyed what he was doing by helping and giving to others. I thank God for using him as an example of how we all are to care for those who are in need. R.I.P Rev. Smiley, you will definitely be missed in Hinesvile and the surrounding areas. God Bless!

To a wonderful spiritual dad l will never forget . I thank you for being there for me through the years .You have been a wonderful spiritual dad 2 me .When I needed prayer or someone 2 talk 2 you where there 4 me . I will never forget that god has put you in my life when I first came here in I think 1986 after I lost my dad . God bless me with u to b there for me spiritually. I truly thank god 4 that and what the Holy Spirit said through u 4 me that I have never told knowone .I just cried .. Thats why u are so special 2 me and precious from god and I . Thank u spiritual dad I deeply appreciate and thank Abba Father for bring him 2 me . Thank u spiritual mom Smiley for allowing me to b appart of the family I deeply appreciate it .I love u and the family and I love you spiritual dad Rev Smiley .. Words cannot adequately express the sadness I feel at the lost of my brother-n-law or my children at the lost of their Uncle Jimmie. This was truly a man of God. He Will be sorely missed for that warm smile and hug.
