Ms. Pease helped inspire my love of history in high school. She also assisted greatly in turning me around as a student. Without her guidance, I probably would not have graduated from college and graduate school. I will always remember her as a caring teacher.

Janet, or tullyfan, was a reader of my fanfiction for a couple of years. She was always an enthusiastic reader and loved to comment. Her favorite character was Tully, and I was really happy she loved my writing. I'll miss her greatly, as there'll never be a lady so enthusiastic and friendly. We can all be like her, I pray. Thanks, tullyfan, for a lot of great comments to brighten my days. :-)

Jan, Brenda and I studied together in our dorm lounge our freshman year at the U of Iowa back in 1962-1963. What fond memories I have of our studying for exams, finals, etc. and laughing and giggling. Both Jan and I loved our history courses, and we three were all good students too! I remember Jan's enthusiasm for the L.A. Dodgers back then as well! Always fun, always upbeat.

Janet did a fantastic chore for the Rock Island Genealogical Society by abstracting news paper stories from the area and index more that one can believe. This act saves all of us time and effort with our family searches. Thank you, Janet.

Ms. Pease had the biggest heart and biggest smile! And an amazing sense of humor! Dry but funny!! My greatest memory was when she would walk around the classroom lecturing with a yardstick in her hand. And when someone fell asleep, she would walk up and wack the desk with the stick. Scared us all to heck!! She was a wonderful teacher and I hope her family knows how loved she was!!! My condolences to all of you.

Ms Pease was my favorite and most influential teacher in high school. She had a way of getting you to think and process different perspectives. She loved us all and her career so much and it showed. I looked forward to her "slide show" days of her trips to her favorite Civil War battlefields every semester, I still think of those memories. She was truly an amazing woman and teacher.

I knew Miss Pease when I was an A-West student in the mid 70´s. She was a favorite teacher of so many. I remember a group of us ran in to her at the grocery store. We snuck out to her car and turned on the wipers, radio full blast, everything we could think of. She got a great laugh as did we.
