SHELBY-Cynthia Sue Ingalls, 58, of Shelby, passed away Jan. 19, 2011, at Bryan LGH West Hospital in Lincoln.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, at the United Methodist Church in Shelby, with Pastor Glen Hubbard officiating.
Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Sunday, at Dubas Funeral Home in Osceola.
A private family inurnment will be in the Shelby Cemetery, at a later date.
Cynthia was born March 19, 1952, to Mervin and Janet (Malek) Hiemer in Osceola. She attended school in Shelby and graduated from Shelby High School in 1970.
On Sept. 12, 1970, she was united in marriage to John Thomas Ingalls at the Methodist Church in Shelby. To this union three children were born. The family lived in Shelby.
Cynthia worked at the Jack & Jill Grocery Store in Shelby, before becoming a stay-at-home mom. After raising her children, she began working at KV Vet Supply in David City in the warehouse.
Cynthia was a member of the United Methodist Church in Shelby, where she taught Sunday School. She enjoyed baking, canning, gardening, cooking and spending time with her children and grandchildren, and attending their activities.
Survivors include her husband, Tom, of Shelby; son, Casey (Molly) Ingalls, of Shelby; daughters, Cassie (Thad) Boden, of Osceola, and Katie Ingalls, of Shelby; her mother, Janet Hiemer, of Columbus; two brothers, Bob (Cathy) Hiemer and Steve (Terry) Hiemer, all of Lincoln; one sister, Connie (John) Pokorney, of Shelby; five grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Mervin Hiemer.
Memorials are suggested to the family, in lieu of flowers.
Dubas Funeral Home of Osceola and Stromsburg has been entrusted with arrangements.
