Dennis Reichenberg
October 13, 1953 - July 31, 2024
Dennis Edwin Reichenberg was born October 13, 1953, in Ogallala, NE to Ralph and Ethel (Stoddard) Reichenberg, the second of six children.
As a young boy Dennis attended country school district #13 in Boone County, later going to Albion public schools where he graduated with the class of 1971. He was baptized at the First Baptist Church in Albion as a young man and continued to grow his faith throughout his life. Dennis worked at the Albion Tire and Auto store for a period of time, later moving to Columbus, NE and was employed with Columbus Motors where he was the parts manager, and later a salesman. On April 29, 1974, he was united in marriage to Sandra Carlson in the Methodist Church in St. Edward, NE and to this union four daughters Sara, Sabrina, Sheena, and Sasha were born. Together they lived in Columbus.
On February 14, 1991, Dennis and Sandie Sohl were united in marriage in Columbus, NE. They then moved to Lincoln, NE in 1998, where he worked at NEBCO for 31 years as a loader operator. Dennis was a member of Blue River Masonic Lodge #30 in Milford, NE. He was Master Mason for over 30 years. He served as Master of his lodge several times plus numerous other offices. He was also a member of Blue River Chapter Order of the Eastern Star #132 in Milford, NE. He enjoyed making people laugh as a clown with the Shriners. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching & racing stock cars (HE named one of his stock cars "Plum Crazy"). He always enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his daughters, Sara Piper of Milford, NE, Sabrina Bartholomew of Columbus, NE, Sheena Reichenberg of St Augustine, FL, and Sasha (Bruce) Dreeszen of Lincoln, NE; his grandchildren, Devin Piper, Kaz Lilith Reichenberg Howe, Bram Reichenberg, Alec Bartholomew, Bogdan Reichenberg, Dylan Reichenberg; and many step children and step grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Darrel (Kelly) Reichenberg of Elkhorn, NE; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda (Keith) Sarver of Plattsmouth, NE, Ollidean Seelhoff of Malcolm, NE, Naomi (Kerby) Cunningham of Beatrice, NE; and one sister-in-law, Cindy Reichenberg of Cedar Bluffs, NE; and several nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph & Ethel Reichenberg, and brother Dallas Reichenberg.
A graveside service will be held December 10, 2024 at the Rosehill Cemetery in Albion, NE at 3 p.m. with a gathering to follow at First Baptist Church 305 S. 4th Street, Albion, NE.
