Georgia Beard of Omaha died Sept. 15, 2023.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, at St. Anthony Church. Visitation is 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, at McKown Funeral Home. There will be a 7 p.m. vigil service, also at the funeral home.
Georgia Beard was born Oct. 22, 1948, in Honolulu, Hawaii Territory to George and Anna Marie (Greisen) Beard. She grew up in Columbus and graduated from Scotus Central Catholic High School in 1967. She received her nursing education in Omaha and worked for many years as a registered nurse at Bergan Mercy Hospital in many capacities. Georgia enjoyed her nephews and their families.
Georgia is survived by brother: John Beard of Branson, Missouri; brother: Robert Beard of Lafayette, Colorado; brother: Douglas Beard of Columbus, Nebraska; nephews: Justin, Brian, and Brandon Beard; great-nephews: Braedon, Chase, Trevor, and Atticus Beard; great-nieces: Brie and Alina Beard
She was preceded in death by her parents.
